concerns about funds-on-hold related to changing shipping labels and auto-generated labels

okay so here's the deal.
I recently sold an item and was ready to shipped. but for some reason, Ebay decided to use Sendle instead of AU Post (which is the courier I prefer) and I have no idea why since I don't remember using/adding Sendle as a shipping option. the problem is there's no available Sendle drop-off location near me. the nearest one is on another city and its one hour drive. now I did bought a new  tracking label from AU Post and added a new tracking label to the bought item. however the problem is now, Ebay is still using the old tracking label (Sendle) and says:
The tracking number cannot be changed because you purchased the postage label from the eBay label printing platform.
now there's two available shipping details that I can track but i'm unsure whether the buyer is seeing the same thing or not.
what worries me about this is, how will Ebay's system know that the package that I shipped is already delivered if the system is still using the previous shipping label that I didn't want and already canceled? because according to infos about funds-on-hold, Ebay has to confirm that the item has been delivered in order for me to actually receive the funds/payment.

now I messaged the buyer already of the new tracking number/ shipping label, but should I be worried whether or not Ebay will cancel the funds that is on hold (or hold the funds perpetually)?

another thing is why did Ebay automatically generated a Sendle label when I wanted Au Post( since I dont remember adding Sendle as a shipping option)?
is there a way to change this automated generation of label?
is there also a way to set my preference to always print labels with Au Post instead of other courier services?

You are able to cancel eBayโ€™s postage labels up to 5 days after you purchased them.  Having cancelled the label, I assume you can then enter the new tracking number.

If it is too late to cancel the label, there is the option to add your new tracking number, as you have done, and I would think that this option exists for precisely situations such as yours.

The added tracking number would be the active one, so it would be the one that appears to your buyer and to eBay. It would not make sense if the original one were still active.

I haven't used ebay labels for ages, because My Post Business can offer better deals (even for small sellers like me). From memory, when you go to create an ebay label, Sendle is at the top. My guess is that you've gone with the cheapest option, which is Sendle. A lot of people don't look at what they are selecting, they just see the cheapest amount and go for it. There should be an option to cancel the label.

ah okay...I was just worried whether Ebay would not recognise the 2nd tracking label that I added since this is the first time that has happened to me..thanks ๐Ÿ™‚
also for some reason, it automatically selected Sendle for me as a shipping option even though I didn't select it or added it as a shipping option, is there a way to prevent Ebay from automatically using Sendle and my preference instead which is AU Post?

I see... I didn't necessarily selected the cheapest option. what I did select was Buyers pay flat rate postage because the original shipping price felt a bit expensive . I wanted the potential buyer to pay a bit less for the shipping so I selected flat rate and reduce the shipping cost a lil bit. i'm assuming because of this, Ebay automatically selected Sendle instead. wish there was a way to prevent that lol

Just one thing to keep in mind.

As eBay regards the second tracking added as corresponding to the shipping date, make sure you have not gone outside your handling time.

Sorry, meant to add that Sendle can come up as the default shipping option, so you just need to scroll down the page to find Australia Post options.

In other words, you selected Sendle, because it was the cheapest option to save your buyer a little bit. You may not have meant to, but you did, because you saw the amount could save your buyer 50c. Ebay gets a kick back from Sendle, so it's going to be selected by default.

How do you prevent this happening? Simple. Create a FREE My Post Business account and create your labels through that. You should be able to sync it with your ebay account so tracking is automatically uploaded when you pay for the label. Sometimes it doesn't sync, so you need to upload the number manually, but a quick cut and paste sees that done in under 30 seconds.

By using My Post Business, if you post a certain amount a month (not sure of the amount, but it's not much), you will get discounts on postage, which you can then pass onto your buyer if you wish. Just make sure that when you log in, you log into Business, because just logging into My Post regular doesn't give you the assorted postage options. You get "own packaging" only, so you can't select a flat rate, like in a satchel.
