Could we have
(a) a requirement to always provide measurements for jeans in the listing when selling jeans, and;
(b) a standard guide for measuring jeans so that measurements provided are consistent?
Measurements for jeans and sizes vary wildly even within brands let alone between different brands so just stating the jeans size is not enough. I am forever having to ask sellers to provide measurements for jeans they are selling. Even then measurements are not always accurate because people use different techniques to measure jeans, hence my wish for Ebay to provide a guide for consistent measuring.

As I suggested before, I suspect that eBay and their lawyers are afraid that if they publish a size guide (again), someone might use it a basis for some sort of action in a transaction gone bad....
Ebay used to have a community attitude but this seems to have disappeared in favour of the bottom line mentality.

If someone doesn't list measurements then it is likely they are not very good at describing their items..which is red flag in itself.
i give tag size and full measurements, advise if they appear to measure bigger or smaller than typical, and take returns if they still dont fit.
Most common questions I get are.
What size are these?
How long/wide are these.
I'm a size XYZ will these fit me.
Can you do them for $X as they may not fit?

I guess they might consider this 'solicited suggestions', maybe. (On the off-chance you contacted them via a different avenue).

That's right - it was a ridiculous answer. Write to them again through the suggestions link

I always list the tag size and the measurements I have taken. Still have people just look at the size.
