one of my items is missing its decription and there has been a fair amount of interest.  I have tried editing, overtyping and I can only see the text in my description in revise mode but when I preview or view the listing its not there.  I don't want to lose a sale of bids because of this but can't work out how to fix - help!!!

I can't see the description in Chrome or Firefox (except for the bit about payments). I would probably try switching to the HTML tab and removing everything from there just in case there's some code there that's causing it, then doing a plain text copy / paste in the Description builder tab, with font / colour edits done afterwards (best way to strip text of all embedded HTML is to copy it and paste it to something like notepad, then copy from notepad and paste to the description.

Try this if you're using IE:

tools menu in Internet Explorer, then Compatibility View Settings, add ebay.com.au, ok. The screen will reload and should be OK if you weren't seeing it right/able to do stuff.

If that doesn't work, give Chrome a go as it's more eBay friendly.

There have been a lot of IE issues.

Yes its due to importing from either Word or Outlook.  The easist way is to do what digi suggests.

It is possible to fix but is quite a bit of mucking about - go into revise and then go to HTML tab and change

each

<SPAN style='FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman","serif"; COLOR: #333333; DISPLAY: none; LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-AU; mso-ansi-language: EN-AU; mso-hide: all; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA'>

to

<SPAN style='FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman","serif"; COLOR: #333333>

There are about 19 to be corrected.

You also appear to have duplicated the error so you would also need to remove the duplicated text.

you guys are genius - rather silly that it was caused copying from a word doc!  but your instructions worked - thanks it would have taken far too long to contact ebay.
