eBay - Behind The Times....

A lot of buyers will make multiple purchases from me and as such require combined post. I am not into offering free shipping for the most part on point of principle.

This week 2 buyers have made multiple purchases and then been sent combined invoices. When they have gone to their phones to pay they get a message from ebay saying they must use the website to pay.

They are unable to pay on a phone. In both instances the buyers have messaged to say they dont really use a computer ( a lot of my customers are young mums who are phone crazy often) and as such are unable to pay for the items. Credit Card and EFT are both offered but in both cases I lose sales and eBay therefore loses fees due to absolute incompetence in regards to their system. In the year 2015 I find this quite unbelievable!

The Paypal fees would be different unless the buyer paid in a single payment because each individual payment carries a "flagfall" fee of 30c on top of the percentage charged (either 2.2% or 2.6% depending upon the seller's turnover).

I can tell you right now that eBay is missing a trick.

My average order value on my website is over $80. My average order value on eBay is $14

Why:

Easy to add to cart on a mobile and pay on my site as it is mobile optimised and tracking tells me I get heaps of orders off it

eBays loss....

Any other time I'd be ROTFLMFAO Padi, but as I'm booked into the local hospital for a colonoscopy next Wednesday (after having lost my younger brother to bowel cancer last year), when it comes to jokes about "bowl movements", I'm finding it very hard to raise even the smallest vestige of a smile right now. Smiley Sad

Spoiler
So rather than "get thee hence, Padi...", I'm more inclined to suggest "get thee fu*ked, Padi...". Smiley LOL

Oh sh!te, I'm afraid I'm not PMSL at your spoiler, cat! How awful for you, although I suppose it was just as well they found it in time. I sincerely hope that your recovery was complete, although I suppose you're required to go back for a colonoscopy every couple of years now. And given your circumstances, it's an appointment I wouldn't be missing!

Thanks also for your kind wishes; they are very greatly appreciated. 🙂

It's not an especially exciting prospect Padi, although I hear they give you some really neat drugs to make it worthwhile. Smiley LOL

I checked out all the nurses while I was there last week and it would appear that you had better luck than I did, but with a bit of luck, maybe there'll be a different nursing shift on next Wednesday - I'll keep my eyes peeled just in case. 🙂

Spoiler
Sorry about the GTF comment... I forgot that your treb's fully functional while mine's still unfinished! Smiley LOL

The injection they gave me left me awake so I could watch what was going on on with the optic fibre camera on the 'puta screen.

Hmmm, too much information maybe.....perhaps the nurse will hold your hand if the going gets tough......

Oh gear, guess I could have phrased that one better........

Seriously the procedure's no big deal CQ, hope you get cute nurses like I did.

Edit.  sorry about going off-topic parties.........................

Spoiler
Treb's broken at the moment.......so you're safe...........for a while...............      (note the apostrophe......hahaha)

The very last thing I want is to be awake while the procedure is being performed, but I was reliably informed by the nurse I saw last week that the combination of Fentanyl and Propofol that they're going to give me should put me out like a light, and I don't doubt it, 'cos Propofol put Michael Jackson out permanently.

However, what I'm looking forward to least of all is having to drink a litre of Magnesium Citrate mixture, then 3 litres of Glycoprep over a period of 2 hours on the day of the procedure. I can't even begin to imagine how I'm going to fit 4 litres of fluid into me in just 2 hours, although the following video by Billy Connolly rather graphically explains what it's going to do to me after I've consumed it.

If you're interested in what happens, check out this very funny video clip by Billy Connolly... http://vimeo.com/24340828 Smiley LOL
