Hello to everybody who might happen to read this.
I only use this account to browse on ebay to get an idea of prices for items I list elsewhere.
I'll never sell or buy on ebay ever again due to their illegal postage fee.
I know this has been covered so many times and I know there's been so much information and links to the relevant websites, but the following information and link to the ACCC website proves in a nutshell (as far as I'm concerned) that what they do from profiting from a service they don't provide is illegal as much as ACCC or any organisation does nothing about - so it's up to the individual to take a stance against them just like I have, but instead of rambling on about what I'm doing on behalf of all Australian ebay users and to make ebay pay back every cent they've stolen... here's the information and link to the ACCC website:
The Australian consumer law prohibits businesses from misleading consumers (ie: their illegal postage fee should be displayed next to the postage cost just as GST has to be displayed). It also prohibits them from accepting payment (for products and/or services) if they do not intend to supply (those same products and/or services).
http://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/sales-delivery/non-delivery-of-products-services
I'll leave that with yourselves and whether you take a stance against them too is totally up to yourselves. Everyone knows (or should know) that this place if "rife" with unfair business practices and policies, but when they conduct in illegal activities and decide to steal money from the very people who make them money then that's my justification for my own stance against them.
Cheers!

yes .. I do see .. I would like to put a lol in there somewhere but it truly isn't funny .. a national disgrace in fact .. 😞
I certainly wouldn't be objecting so strongly if I believed these companies were engaged in honest practices .. once the competition is deliberately undermined so that consumers have little choice but to do business with very distasteful business partners that would be a deal breaker .. yeah we are being walked all over all with the assistance of the ACCC .. I am certain of it and have gathered all manner of evidence over the years that the ACCC is part of the conspiracy .. the big end of town especially the American Chamber of Commerce is onboard with the entire operation .. at this point we are just being farmed/gamed by these corporates and multi nationals ..
And while we are on my pet hobby horse subject of auspost if you are interested I have provided a link or two for you to educate yourselves a little to how "they" have basically shut the door on Australians who wish to trade internationally .. we think we are in a free country but I swear we are being backed into a corner by the very people who profess to be helping us ..

sold.com.au was bought by yahoo about 15 years ago and promptly shut down and they redirected sold.com.au users to ebay .. to this day Australian ip addresses are blocked from registering to sell at yahoo auctions .. the ACC allowed the trade and there was no parliamentary inquiry into the practice .. I get tired of explaining all this to newcomers to ebay .. if you like ebay you would have absolutely adored sold.com.au .. I could go on and on about the aquistitions that the ACCC have allowed ebay and all the ones they have blocked that would have not helped ebay .. I have no problem that people may actually like ebay it is just that now us Aussies have little choice .. we were previously getting good bang for our buck from
sold.com.au
gofish.com.au
yahooauctions.com.au
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yahoo!_Auctions
more recently the ACCC allowed ebay to acquire gumtree.com.au but blocked carsales the owner of quicksales to acquire trading post .. I could post you some links but have other things to do today then go through my superspy hardrive proving things to ebay sycophants .. it is in fact impossible ..

I'm not trying to rattle anyone's cage, but here's my take on it.
If Ebay's so corrupt and terrible, why do people continue to trade with them? Nobody has a gun to their head, do they?
So, spot the difference
$10.00 + $2.95 Shipping
$12.95 Free Shipping
If you consider the fact that eBay offers everyone the chance of starting an instant, viable, thriving business, with no hefty fees for global advertising and the like, it really isn't all that bad, is it? Or is it? I know if I were to build my own, stand alone website, with merchant fees (Visa - MasterCard), plus the fact I'd need to obtain ABN's and file Tax reports, I'd be on a far worse scenario that what I'm in now.
Just food for thought, and I'm not trying to upset anyone, so please don't attack me, I'm just seeing it from a different prospective.
This isn't intended as an attack, but in that case I might start growing some weed. I make a decent amount of money but that does not negate the fact of any perceived injustice

Yes I have done that.
10% ebay fees.
2.6% + $0.30 paypal fees.
And you need to add 10% GST fees haha

You'd make more selling the weed than growing it
