Anyone notice eBays list of "Metro" postcodes does not align with AusPost?
Example postcodes where eBay are including it on their "Metro" list are;
2575, 2576, 2577, 2578, 2579, 2264, 2265, 2267, 2278, 2280, 2281
I am sure there is plenty more, only had a brief look. The above are all classified and charged as Rural by AusPost (not Metro). The cost to send express to rural is a far greater difference, than the $4 eBay provides you for eBay Plus buyers, it is not workable. As such, disabled it until something is sorted, bit surprised no one else has said anything.

I don't use eBay postage or Plus, so I haven't noticed.

We don't use eBay for postage. We have an Aust Post "My Business" account, and their site is all good, (As it should be!)
Maybe try that out, rather than constantly having to check that your information from eBay is correct.
We often find that once there is a Third party becomes involved errors can be an issue. This way you are dealing with the "source".
Also, The more you send the more discount you can qualify for, and that might be a good option for you.
