ebay has done away with top rated seller badge on listing as it confuses the buyer ... oh please!!!

I have only just recently achieved a top rated seller badge, I had the badge appear on my listings for little less than a month and now ebay has scrapped it as it might cause confusion for buyers with the ebay premium service ... thanks for nothing ebay, I mean really what is the point ... it is becoming a constant struggle to run any kind of business on this site

Theoretically TRS gives you priority in 'Best' Match searches. If you can find buyers silly enough to search that way.

Clicking on a listing doesn't show anything, but clicking on the member's feedback WILL tell a potential buyer that the seller is TRS.

However, ebay did announce this change several months ago, so it shouldn't be a surprise.

You could always try to garner some sympathy on the 'Powersellers' board, where most of us are TRS.

Those rules are US and UK.

Stop stirring the possum.

Oops - Possum - a tree-dwelling Australasian marsupial that typically has a prehensile tail.

And doesn't like being stirred up.

I will be, thanks. Although I doubt they will bring it in here. eBay don't provide member protection here - Paypal does.

We have laws about online trading that preclude eBay from implementing a lot of terms they do in other countries and would like to here.

Although that is subject to change with the Government we currently have.
