ebay plus unfair to sellers of heavy items

Does anybody else feel that Ebay Plus is unfair to those who sell heavy items. I am near Sydney and many of my sales are between 10-20kg and I can not offere "free post" (also known as postage already included) as the difference in postage ranges from $10 to $100 depending on where in Aus it is going to - there is no fair way to offer post included and yet I do not get the extra promotion because of this.

Anyone know how to bend this rule?

Not all items that are free postage have ebay plus and same as items that have postage extra can be ebay plus. Although free postage does help from what I have seen.

Just checked and although I have seen it on larger items maybe not on heavy items over 10kgs.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, there are not many plus buyers, I've only had about 5 or 10 and  I do about 10-20 orders per day. Admittedly, there may be more in other catagories, but I doubt that 10-20kg items would be in one of those catagories.

In other words, I doubt plus has had any effect on your visibility of those items for your particular buyers.

And, you do know that many of your smaller listings have the plus badge right?

Couldn't agree with you more about ebayplus being unfair to large item sellers (or anyone that sells items that need professional packing or packing skill).

We sell high quality and in many cases very valuable items - under no circumstances do we send anything in a satchel - and I can't and won't give free Postage - and that excludes us from being rated as Ebay top Sellers
