If you are being limited, and shouldn't be, the glitch in the programming is fixed by closing your ebay shop.

--and by closing your shop you move from 80 to 40 free listings a month for what reason?

If you want to reopen your shop you also need to restock it which makes it a hard way to solve the problem.

Can you explain a bit more please? I had a break on this ID for a few months, and then when I re-opened a store all of a sudden I had selling limits, which I didn't have before.

I think selling limits are imposed on everyone now but you can apply for your limit to be increased.

I don't see anything in that link that helps foxette? I don't have any problems with DSRs or feedback etc. I'm currently a top rated seller even though I haven't sold anything for 6 months. It just seemed weird when I started up again and all of a sudden there were selling limits. I wondered if it was because I changed my ID name and store name? Mind you I change them all the time, but maybe this time it triggered something as it was like it thought I was a new seller with a limit of 10 (which I was able to up to 100).

It's one of ebay's recent " innovations " - it's nothing to do with your particular account.

Thanks deja. Although I was able to up the limit to 100 straight away, it is not much for a store with small items. ie: if I have 10 of the same item then it is one listing but takes up 10 out of my limit. It is not practical to only list 2 of them and then have to constantly update the amount. It is much easier to have everything listed so that I know what I've got left, ie: use ebay to keep count of my inventory. I would like to have at least 100 listings but then I could only put a quantity of "1" on each of them. If I'd known that this change was coming in I would have just kept my store going instead of having a break because it's like I'm starting from scratch again.

be kind be calm...... do you have a cr/card on file with eBay for payment of your monthly fees? that will sometimes trigger a Limit if it is not there.
older sellers are/were exempt but new sellers need a c/card on file...
