ebay store versus just selling

What are the benefits to opening a store?

I have loads of things to list on Ebay and was advised that opening an Ebay store might be the way to go.

TIA

Since opening a store & with the new fee structure my monthly fees have halved. Just make sure you have great products at a good price.

Although I must admit I sell way more in auction style. Any shop sales are a bonus.

If you have a lot to list, it would most likely be  good idea, $24.95 per month, and 20c listing fee's (I think) and slighly lower fvf's. It depends on the value of your items. If you think they will all sell within a month or two I would go for it, any longer than  a couple of months though and it could well end up costing you  money, why not just list a few to start (without the store) and see how it goes. I think 30 free listings in a month is offered.

What koala said.

If you are eligible for the 30 free listings a month then do that and see how your item sell.

The FVF is a bit higher but worth a try and if looking good then open the store and when you have finished just close it.

No - you can have auctions as well, I just suggested BIN coz auctions are time consuming, and if you are paying monthly for a store, depending on how long you want the auction to run, you are taking up valuable selling days, if you think auction is the way to go, go for it, good luck

Stores are only for BIN items that can be listed up to 30 days, with auctions they can only be listed for a max of 10 days and cost 50c per listing if under $20.00 start price, but the higher the start price the higher the listing fee with auctions.

So, it's basically to save an extra 2 listing fees per item per month? That makes sense as it would save alot if you list many things.

A store is $24.95 a month with 20c per listing for 30 days on buy now only.

Auctions are a min of 50c for a max of 10 days. The higher your staring bid the higher your listing fee.

Or without a store you can get 30 free listings a month for a max of 10 days duration for auction or buy nows only.

A free listing for auction with a buy now added is a 10c listing fee for the buy now option added to the auction but once a bid is placed the buy now is gone and item sells to highest winning bidder.
