How do you check a Buyers credentials when selling after an Auction

I understand your reluctance to open a non-payment case if its on your current ID and your feedback is only just growing.

But ... I am also not sure how leaving it so long to open an unpaid dispute will make one iota of difference to the kind of feedback that such a inconsiderate buyer would leave anyway ??

Thats a good point. The fact of it is this buyer has a track record of not leaving feedback at all unless it's negative. I'll shoot off one more message and if I dont hear back I'll open a case Sunday night.

I just made a study of mommy********* buyer's feedback.  She evidently paid for an item (not mine) some time before 11.02 am from 1 seller, then paid for 2 other items from a different seller sometime before 18.46 on Nov 25.  These 2 sellers evidently leave their feedback immediately after their sales saying the item/s were paid.

The buyer bought my item at 12.20 pm - so I can't see why she couldn't have paid for mine, considering it was only a few dollars - very strange.  As far as I can find out that appears to be the last things she bought.

It's a pity we can't charge interest on money owed.

I sometimes check a buyer's feedback but do it less now. What dave said about opening/closing a case and then the non-payer not being able to leave negative feedback is a good one. Same with politely messaging to check how things are after 4 days or so. I would wait a few more days for them to reply, though.

Yeah that would be good.  I mean there should be something, some kind of auto generated prompt maybe when they sign in that forces them to pay or contact seller before they can start shopping/browsing again.  Of course interest would probably be more effective, although I'm against the whole concept of interest, but thats one for another thread maybe...

My NPB messaged this morning saying she'd pay Monday, which was good because I hadn't got around to messaging her.  The other one though hasn't replied to any of my three messages, I threatened to open a case by Monday if I havent heard back (In my mildest most politest tone of course lol)
