I have just sold my second thing on ebay and the label cost was $54 more than the estimate given by Australia post through the ebay site. I was not prepared to pay the extra and neither was the buyer so I cancelled the transaction. I inadvertantly whie trying to figure out what went wrong printed a label and forgot to cancel it befor ethe five days. To date the ebay customer service has been very unhelpful and I am being billed $155.98 for a label I have not used. Any ideas?
Regards
Jonathan

So when you went to manage postage labels you weren't able to cancel it?

There you go you've relisted the wheels and added the extra postage cost so now you can use that label.
You solved your own problem.

Not really. That would only work if the same person bought the item.
Labels are electronically generated. All the relevant information is in the QR code. Whiting out and handwriting a different address doesn't change that. Also, at that price the postage would be calculated, and could well vary if somebody else purchased.

Well then OP has done their doh
It's good to know that an unused label can't be used for other postage.
I've never used one so it's good to know.

Very likely. On a $1800 set of wheels, I would have taken the $50 hit.
OP - something that size would be calculated by weight and DISTANCE. Your original price was likely to have been what you were shown for postage to your postcode, not anywhere else in the country.
