how do you block sending to Norfolk Island? lots of trouble -post expensive and parcels lost

How can I block Norfolk Island buyers from buying my items?  I post free to Aust but the post to Norfolk Island cost $33.10 and no tracking.  It is meant to be part of aust with a NSW post code of 2899, but I cant send through click and send like the rest of Aust. Now I have been informed that the parcel didnt arrive after more than a month - Aust post hasnt returned parcel and it is not in the dead letter office.  It is too expensive to send and lose item to Norfolk island. Ive lost the $110 item and the $33.10 post + fees

How do I make a "do not send to Norfolk Island" in postage preferences?  I can only find how to do other overseas no areas.

I have noticed other peoples listing just have "I do not post to Norfolk Island" written in the description, but not sure if this is enough.

It's possible, but seemingly only if you block all regional NSW: http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/pay/shipping-costs.html#where

Unfortunately, I can provide much further info, as I've only been able to successfully access the option to block domestic regions on one account (on another I can't bring it up at all), and haven't explored the option extensively.

Why would you want to block Norfolk Island buyers when the air mail parcel rates are no more expensive than anywhere else in Australia? In fact, in some instances, they're actually cheaper. The current rates are detailed in the following table.

The above is simply an extract from Section C of the AP Rates Determination Guide which can be downloaded from http://auspost.com.au/media/documents/Rates-Determination-31-March_2014.pdf

It's nowhere near as expensive as you'd think. Depends upon the origin of course but from the eastern states the rates aren't too bad. BTW, the zone code is NF in case you wondered.

Why I don't want to send to Norfolk Island.

1. Can not process via click and send

2. Can not use AP post calculator to quickly quote post cost

"Prices are not available online for this location. Please call 13 13 18 for details or go to an Australia Post outlet."

3. Customs regulations apply - extra paperwork

I sent by this chart - which you have to send from the actual post office.  my parcel was an A3 size box weighing 4.25kg which had to be upped to the 5kg. it usually costs $15.o5 to anywhere in Aust to send with click and send with tracking.  on this chart via post office it cost $33.10 no tracking, so as you can see it is MORE expensive than you think once you add the per kg multiplication etc.

The only flat rate 5kg box is the B4 and that is only available through eBay labelling. At $15.05, so I assume you mean that one. I have no idea what the restrictions are on this box, given Norfolk Island is part of NSW, but I would be checking.
