how to get more free auction listings?

I am considering opening a Basic Store however it doesn't look like you get any free auction listings for the subscription.
Im not really after more BIN listings but apart from the occasional 150 free listings promos how do you get more free listings?? Is paying for a basic store worth it? Feel like im missing something..

A basic store does not come with any free auction style listings. You have to rely on the generosity of ebay to hand out free ones now and again. But it has been quite a while now since they did this.

You get 200 free BIN listngs you can use each month.

You also get to be able to use Selling Manage Pro for free.

All this for your $20 per month. We operate two store IDs.

Plus we also operate 3x non-store IDs where we can make use of the 40x free auction style listings on each of those each month. So 120 free per month there.

But the conversion rates from auction listings to actual paid and delivered sales is pretty paltry. Would be less than 10% for us I'd say. There just does not seem to be the lookers/watchers there once was. And in the past 2-months the auction listings don't seem to bubble up to the top of the search results as they near the end any more. So makes it very hard for buyers to find them.

We have much more success using our basic store IDs than the non-store IDs.

A Basic store subscription includes up to 200 free auction listings in the Collectables categories only and BIN listings in all other categories.

Thats a great way to do it. I have some bin's and many must be auctioned but they can never justify the $1.50 insertion fee.

If you have an idea of your monthly sales you can compare non-store to store fees

a new ID will more likely come with selling restrictions price value or quantity. you might also have a payment hold of 21 days on new accounts.
