It doesn't just take money to start an online business. It is easy to create a business and fail, which is why I do not invest in 1c shares anymore.
I have no idea what you are paying so much money to someone or really what you are talking about. I started a few years ago and put a lot of effort (time) into it. It's easy for the most part but I am still learning, or conforming.
At least look at the market and see what others are selling, most cheap stuff is going to be hard to sell, especialy on ebay with their "rules"

In my personal opinion.... Avoid further contact (or rather, avoid further expense) with whoever is trying to charge you money. If, after you've learned some basics, you still want help, then you will at least be a little better informed and know what you need from such people, and can make a good choice about who to go with (as well as what that kind of help might be worth).
Dropshipping should be very carefully considered and researched, because as a frontline seller (that is, taking the end-buyer's money), you will be responsible for just about everything but in control of virtually nothing, so I would not recommend it as your first foray into eBaying.
A solid business will take time and effort to both research and build, and I think the best first steps you can take is by listing a few things you have in your posession, get a feel for the whole process, an idea of what makes a good listing, read as much relevant information as you can find in the site map, on PayPal or any other payment processors you will be using, and spend some time here in the forum - there are a lot of sellers here willing to share good information for free, (some who won't pull any punches if they see something that can be improved, but the info and advice is still worthwhile, though asking for specific good selling products or suppliers is likely to result in a wall of silence 😄 ).

When I was at school, I was a mousy little thing that preferred the company of books or my retirement-aged English teacher (because he called us "horrible children", spent entire lessons telling one joke and encouraged my creative writing, nothing weird LOL).
Until I was sent to a private Catholic school, anyway. Then all hell broke loose.

I guess it would be really inappropriate for me to say I have this bridge for sale, wouldn't it?

Yes we started a couple of years ago knowing nothing. Just did lots of reading first.
Then got hold of a few things we thought we might like to sell and started selling by auction at first.
That helped us immensely as to how it all works.
We never paid a cent to anyone for help. Just put in the time & effort ourselves.
And I can personally vouch for the priceless help you will get from the eperienced sellers on this forum.
We are now operating two ebay stores and one ID that we use as auction-only selling. And we are working it all towards being able to support us 100%. We hope!!!
We are also almost ready to launch our own independent web site.

might as well ask for a couple of specs. It goes over a river doesn't it? Any inclusions?
