I do not expect an reply to an offer on weekends or the normal business hours.I am aware thatseller have their private time too.

But many times I make offers ( reasonable with a 20-30% discount) and I get no reply from a seller. It would be better if ebay would implement certain conditions and advises to seller and buyer to make the option "make an offer" more binding and not only a marketing advantage used by some.

20-30% may well not be considered reasonable by the seller. But I agree sellers should respond if they don't have auto settings.

I don't do many 'best offers', but for those I do I usually have auto-accept and -decline amounts set.

A hint - if you offered 30% under BIN you would get the auto-decline.

If I have best offer on a listing, I sit on the offer for at least 24 hours normally (unless it's ridiculous and low in which case I decline) because on several occasions I've had 2 or even 3 offers come within a short time, obviously as a seller the best offer you can get is the object of the game. I've even had someone buy now at full price while there have been open pending offers or counter offers.

And for the really strange one. Anyone ever had someone put in a best offer higher than the buy now price? Happened to me once.

No.

But I have sold at BIN when best offer was available.

Both the buyer and I thought it was a good deal, but.
