Hi all, apologies if I am repeating myself I thought I'd posted my Q on these boards but having rec'd no replies maybe I didn't!
why particularly in the last week am I being out of pocket for international post? first time it was only a couple of dollars to canada, now its over $7 to US...it can't keep happening. both letter rate and parcel
my turbo lister seems to be up to date with program updates and when the new fee structure came in I did list several items via sell similar rather than TL.
the aust post calc looks a little different in first view but I wasn't aware other than the change in satchel price that there was yet another international increase recently.
I attempted ringing ebay help but I had a long hold time and was doubtful whether the ebay assistants in the phillipines would be able to advise anyway.
the overseas buyers have been using buy it now and pay straight away so I am unable to check it prior to them paying by paypal.
I thought of putting a para like
ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: You are welcome to check postage costs with me prior to bidding or please wait for your invoice prior to making payment. In the last week the ebay calculator has been out of sync and made incorrect estimations. thank you
anyone else having these issues: or able to offer a solution? thanks!!

I don't sell OS, but the items I buy from OS, many of them have "postage not specified" so I have no option but to contact the seller.
Hopefully someone will come along shortly who can explain how to make that happen for you.

oops, meant to add that I can't pay either until the seller enters the postage amount. Sometimes it happens automatically, other times it doesn't, so it will have something to do with settings.
Soory that i couldn't be more help, but at least you are aware these possibilities must be available somehow...

that sounds like a good idea, however I thought if you didn't put the measurements weight etc in it won't let you list. I know that happens in turbo lister. It doesn't show on overseas sites until those details are entered.
however if anyone knows how please do advise!

There was this thread a couple of days ago, with one fairly detailed answer: http://community.ebay.com.au/topic/Selling/International-Postage-Ebay/600159416
The only other thing I can suggest is to use flat rate rather than calculated postage, which will require working out P&H costs in advance and specifying a cost either worldwide or to individual countries.

yep that's my other id, thanks I wonder why I never got alerted I got responses. regardless the 8 zones instead of 4 explains the discrepancy, however now I have a parcel and am more out of pocket !
re the flat rate suggestion, that would be near impossible for a parcel wouldn't it? (let me rephrase that - time consuming) in some cases my parcels are over $70 airmail... as I sell a lot of magazines and they are heavy

pack and track for up to 500g is $20 and my package arrived in the US last week in less than 10 days - was way faster than I was expecting. I think it was 6 days
