is 40 free listings the highest amount of free listings available

Hi... just wondering if 40 free listings was the highest amount available.  I went to list more items after my 40 free, and ebay was charging $1.50 per listing... bit steep if it doesn't sell.  I'm happy to list and pay final fees... but $1.50 per listing?? Any thoughts?

go to the Site map and find the prices for having an ebay Store, depending on the monthly fee level there are a lot more free listings (but Stores are for Buy it Now ohly items, not auctions)

Thank you.  I've thought of doing that too...  I've had a store in the past but am a little indecisive as to what to do at the moment about it.

There have been weekends where you can list 100 listings for free in recent months.

However, if you are using the eBay site and getting 40 free listings per month then of course you have to pay to list more than 40.  Sellers can't expect to get as many listings as they like for free.  There is nothing underhanded going on, the number of free listings and the fee to list more than that is publicly available information.  If you don't want to pay any listing fees then list no more than 40 items per month.

It is acceptable to have two or more user ID's, with different email addresses, and up to eight can be linked to the same PayPal account. People often have 2 id's one to sell and one to buy; why not 2 to sell? 2 x 40 = 80 free listings a month without the expense of a store and they can be auctions not BIN. Just a thought!
