Feedback alone generally can't determine trustworthiness -I've had issues with buyers with hundreds and even thousands of feedback, moreso than those with low counts, though I'm sure it varies for every seller.

The best thing you can do is take every precaution regardless of the buyer, unless there is something else they've said or done that has raised a red flag.

If it doesn't feel right there may be a problem as intuition can sometimes warn you so why are you suspicious?

When was that 1 feedback given and when did they join as accounts that are hacked are generally dormant

account that have been that way for six months or more.

Is it an Aus account and have they requested anything unusual such as a different address?

If you do go ahead with the sale make that it's sent with tracking,eg; registered post or Express.

Everyone has to start somewhere.  We all did the same.  Sometimes a potential buyer finds something they need but have never used eBay before.  We have had several new eBayers in the last year and sometimes we have needed to guide them but everything worked out fine in the end.

Ask some questions, build some trust, it also needs to work both ways especially for new online buyers.  At the end of the day PayPal will generally protect you.  Just do all the right things you are doing now.  We all want new customers and more sales.  I'll take them.

That's a fairly big sale. Everyone has to start off with a low feedback, that's true.

But there are some things I would be doing to cover yourself as best as possible.

Someone else mentioned a few but I would just reiterate-make sure you are selling to Australia. Nothing overseas.

Make sure whatever you are selling is in great condition, packed well, sent with tracking. That's to make sure there is nothing they can come back at you for, with claims it wasn't as described or didn't arrive.

If the buyer starts wanting to make any changes, be prepared to just cancel the sale.
