Hi all!I've bought some items from a shop that were on sale and now planning to sell them in ebay. I've noticed on the manufacturer's form, is a 5 year warranty. Can I offer this warranty to my buyers? I mean is it transferrable? If not, do I need to remove the manufacturer's form from the items so my buyers won't be mislead?
Kindly advise.
Thanks everyone!

If you fill in the buyers name and details of whoever you sell them to and send the Warranty card back to the manufacturer as well as a copy to the buyer this warrants the product in that name.
Some things don't have transference of warranties however by Australian law, anything under 1 year old has to have a manufacturerโs warranty.

I don't know, can you contact the manufacturer and ask? I don't see why it shouldn't be OK.
Hopefully someone much cleverer than me on these things will come along soon.

If you have not activated the warranty and it the product is still as it was when you bought it, then I can see no reason why you couldn't give the buyer the Warranty card..
The only thing is, you might need to provide the receipt as well..
I am not completely sure on this, I'm sure another regular will be able to tell you more info
You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means

NO the reciept only needs to be kept if you don't send in the warrenty card. This is to prove date of purchase.
Once the warrenty card has been sent to the manufacturor its accepted and logged.
If you are filling in the warrenty card with the buyers details, there is nothing stopping you from sending in a copy of the reciept along with it.
This way the buyer won't see the amount but the manufacturor has proof of when it was purchaced
