no seller protection on an echeque?

Hi guys, 

Got a quick question, i sold an item and the buyer has paid via echeque, on the email it says 

Note to seller
The buyer hasn't sent a note

Postage/Despatch Details
No Details

Seller Protection
Seller Protection - Not Eligible

Does this change once the payment has cleared? why would i have no protection???

Yes, it should change to Eligible once it has cleared.

An echeque is good for the seller as there can not be any chargebacks down the track.
