due to the decision that the Paris Court of Appeal in a judgment of 3 September 2010 upheld the ban on sale of perfumery and cosmetics brands Kenzo, Dior, Givenchy and Guerlain: http://actualites.ebay.fr/showitem&id=396
does everyone know this on ebay you can get reported for selling the above items i did not know about this until i wanted to list one fragrance from givenchy but was not alowed to do so ,i asked ebay why can i not list this item and they said ? read above,and told me that i can report others who do sell those items ,no way will i do that.

No I didnt know. My french is only basic tourist french so I am only able to understand about half of it.

You need a dangerous goods licence to post ANY perfume, so it's not that good an idea to list it anyway.

That law applies in France and perhaps it can be extended to other EU countries too but I doubt it.
It is extremely hard to buy genuine items of those and other brands wholesale as they either supply direct or have a very limited number of wholesalers who risk their athorisation if they sell to anyone who is not an authorised reseller.
Most of them are also members of the ebay VeRo program which means ebay will take down any listing reported by those companies and then it is up to you to prove to the company that they are genuine, very dificult without a retail receipt from an authorised reseller.
Unless I had that level of proof I would not list a 'designer' product even second hand as you can actually be prosecuted for selling counterfeit goods. There are factories in China who mass produce very authentic looking certificates of authenticity, labels, tags, dust bags, cases etc. so no way would I risk listing unless I had purchased direct from an authorised store.
