Hello all,
I have a question regarding stamps, and I was not able to find this on the Aus Post website or eBay (would love to see a link if you do know where it is). If I was told an item would cost $8.30 to post in a standard small AusPost satchel, am I allowed to use my own packaging and put $8.30 worth of stamps on the package? Assuming of course the size of the package is that of a small satchel and under 500 grams?
I know this might be a stupid question but I wanted to confirm that I can use my stamps as opposed to paying the same amount at the post office (where they don't put stamps but just a barcode/sticker). I want to use stamps for convenience as I can walk to the mailbox and put the item in as opposed to driving to the post office everytime I want to send something off.
Kind regards,

Ultimately, if you use ebay labels you can't go wrong
and INR's will wash of you.

In Australia you only have to prove posting to an address.
Whether or not the item arrives doesn't matter.
It is very difficult to prove posting 'to an address' unless
you print ebay labels or send by registered post and retain
the lodgement record ( showing the address ).
Fancy labels and such can't give you proof of delivery
to the buyer nominated address.

eBay require proof of delivery, regardless of what the law says.
Whatever the type of postage used, whether eparcel, Mypost, eBay labels, (all electronically generated, so the only difference is price/convenience) or hand addressed satchels or parcels, if the tracking doesn't show delivered, the buyer will always win an INR.
Please check the facts before you post - some people might think you're right and get burned as a result.

Probably because when this thread was current, that was the price?
Why do you think current prices would be applicable to prices that were current when this thread was current?
I await your response.
