quick C&S question

this might sound a bit dumb

but, i gotta ask

i filled out my first item and discovered theres no area to fill out - send to - buyers details on the satchel

so im guessing after i pop it in a post box - at AP they'll know where to send it just from the product code?

btw crikey, i noticed in 'my ebay' that it does automatically get marked as sent

Re: quick C&S question

I've got a HP Photosmart B110. Not as pretty as yours, though.

Cartridges last about 6-8 months and cost around $30. I can wear that.

That's for double-size black. I normally only use it to print C&S labels, so I don't use colour at all.

For anybody who doesn't know - make sure you set your defaults in your computer's print manager to 'black ink only', otherwise it (mine, at least) will rip your colour cartridges. Apparently 'black only' doesn't give as good a black as mixing colours into it. Work that out, if you can.

My main complaint with new printers these days (and HP aren't the only ones guilty of this) is that the cartridges supplied with the new printer are only around half-full, because we all know that they virtually sell the printer at cost and expect to make most of their profits from replacement ink and consumables.

You are "jimmeh" atm.

A cheap printer is all you need for AP. Just use greyscale, black ink only. Most $50 printers are up to the task.

I am only Jimmeh. I was only pointing out the mistake because I thought Joz would want to know.

Plus it was too close to another ID that is less than helpful.

When I was shopping for a printer, the guy working the floor said photo smart printers automatically use the separate black only cartridge to save the colours. Hence the name...photo smart. Though after reading Dave's response I'd say the floor guy was wrong.

BTW Joz....good fishing here. Check out Striped Bass. My last catch snapped the line after fighting it for almost an hour! Yep...the one that got away! Musta been ten feet long, lol.

i thought that didnt resemble you

pity that big one got away, i have many many storys on the that big that got away.

i serviced the drag system on a pen threadline reel. hooks a monster at the south mole river mouth, trys to release the drag a little to allow it the swim but theres was no adjustment, it simply free spooled, line knots and tangles everywhere, what mess, and, i could tell it was a big one before the line snapped (fitted the drag washers back in the wrong way hey:8}

 Hence the name...photo smart.

i think one has to smarten up to operate one. I clicked black only on the computer while doing a test print and the image in some parts still had a smear of color. I havent tried it yet, but i think if operating the black button manually on the printer itself might do.
