Hi everyone,


I didn't quite know how to word the subject of my topic, apologies.


My question is,


Hypothetically; if our online business closes over Christmas and the new year, i.e., no warehouse guys to ship anything out between certain dates, is it possible to let all our online buyers know? We sell a few items everyday and did not want any buyers waiting longer than they expected to for even a small item.


Is there a way to 'close' the store? Or at least let ebayers know before they purchase our items that it won't be sent out until a certain date?

Yes - you need to set your store to Holiday Mode, you can display a custom message on your store page, set-up an auto-response to any messages, and opt to keep your listings visible or hidden (for a break longer than a few days, I would have them hidden, as the message displayed on listings is often missed by buyers and you'll likely get negs and/or low DSRs from people who didn't see it). 



To set it to Holiday Mode, click the Holiday Settings link under Manage My Store.
