sales $1000, ebay fee $500? What's happening at ebay?

While COVID made sales dramatically down. Last 31 day's was $969 only, and August was $1300.

However, I received ebay's invoice for 16/Aug - 15/Sep is $502!!!!

This is ridiculours that I must stop my ebay store right now!

Anyone have any idea what is happening at ebay?

What has what the OP sells have to do with the question?

Well.. if he has high fees, his sales could be down. Maybe he needs to think about why his fees are so high. That is very high, you must be getting insertion fees. I avoid these as they can be 1.65 each item depending on the category. You should upgrade your store to featured. It only costs a bit more and you get 1500 insertion fee free listings per month. That's if you aren't registered for managed payments already. It could be a mistake on your invoice.

Table tennis is indoor you're correct, i thought they were bat tennis. My mistake.

He doesn't need to think why his fees are so high. His invoice will tell him exactly what he is being charged for.

Well if he wants to keep selling, and he doesn't want to make any changes, he says he will close shop. I want the best for sellers. With those fees + costs of item and other expenses, those fees are exorbitant. He will need to obviously make some changes to keep selling.

to the OP ONLY do you have pay now on ????  IF NOT turn if on.   Reason being if a item hits your unpaid section but NOT PAID FOR you are hit with an EBAY FVF sale fee.    Now if a cust hit one of your higher priced items and did not pay for it you could easy be up for 200-300 in FVF fees even though the cust has not paid yet.

THE WAY EBAY charges a FVF fee for something that NOT paid for is a JOKE. the FVF fee should only be charged after the sale is paid FOR not before.    I would be looking close at your unpaid items if you DO NOT have pay now switched on.    And anything sitting in there that over 4 days old raise an unpaided case on them to get the FVF fee credits back...   Not saying this is what going on BUT if you do not have the PAY NOW option on that would be what catching out

Just a quick look at some of your listings it appears to me YOU do NOT have the pay now ON.    <<<<<   I would be looking at this for the high fees.

If the pay now is on on your listings it should show something like this in the postage and payment TAB at the bottom "

Immediate payment required for this item

Immediate payment of AU $80.00 is required."

This is NOT showing on the random listings I clicked
