selling a restricted item

I have a couple of very nice bras that are used and I'm not sure how 'vintage' they are.    The section on the selling of these is vague.   Does anyone know the official rule?

Here is what the 'restricted items' section said:

-------------------------------------

Restricted

Restricted

  • Most used clothing (shirts, pants, dresses, etc.) as long as it has been cleaned, the seller states that the item is used, and there is no inappropriate content in the listing

  • The following items, as long as there's no inappropriate content in the listing or any indication that the item was worn as underwear:

    • Bathing suits

    • Bras

    • Lingerie

    • Pantyhose

    • Spandex

    • Wrestling singlets

  • Vintage undergarments, as long as they are not modelled or recently worn

    -------------------------------------------------------

    Hope someone can help

    regards

Think of it this way. Would you want to wear someone elses used underwear? Of course you wouldn't.

vintage underwear would be at least 25 preferably more years old.

your old underwear is definitely NOT allowed on eBay.  NO underwear or swimwear that has been worn in recent years is allowed on ebay even if it is washed!

I just did a search, which I should have done first, and found that people DO buy used bras!

So, thank you for your answers.

I'm almost certain that even Op Shops etc aren't allowed to accept & sell them. Think they just get tossed out.

Against eBay policy to list preworn underwear.

Yes, silly sellers who don't know or flout the rules do list them, and risk their accounts being restricted due to policy violations.

Not worth the risk for the few bucks I reckon.

If you list under vintage, and the garment does not fit what a buyer thinks is vintage, then you run the risk of a buyer opening a not as described and losing your dosh. (and vintage sellers are known to regularly report lots of items that should not be in that category).

Not exactly true, it is against the Australian ebay policy however you can list them on most other sites including the UK where it is only knickers and underpants that can only be listed if new.

The OP copied in Australian policy.

Unlike some, I read others posts and I base my response on what OPs are asking.

If I am unsure, I most usually ask the OP.

Edit: and the OP is based in Oz and posts to Australia.  Not World Wide.

181544097969 the infamous New Without Tags but has a dirty mark inside that will come out in the wash,God's beard woman they got no tags so how hard is it to wash 'em?

331326786762 says in listing that they are pre-owned.

I see this with swimwear all the time.I'm not saying it's right but if you dig around in swimwear there is a lot of this going on.
