Everyone gets a chance otherwise there would be no buyers so if they blow that chance then you put them on your bidders block list so it's actually 1 strike and your out if you decide to block them, all sellers should know this rule. And even if they use other accounts you just have to keep blocking.

I've just had a buyer (on another id) who questioned the additional $2.00 on the invoice. Response from me that it was a reluctantly introduced handling fee. Quite clearly noted in the listing. Haven't heard from buyer since, and no payment...!!
(This is the same buyer who once gave me an N for INAD, because the colour (of the pottery piece) wasn't what the buyer wanted it to be.)
Kinda hoping the buyer won't go ahead, as I'm sure that will be a neg. on FB. Realise that I could/should have it removed, but so much hassle involved.

If it's more than 4 days since the sale, open an unpaid item dispute. Close it again in 4 days to get your fees back. Buyer gets a strike against their account. Add them to your block list. Make sure your other blocks are in place so people with 2 or more strikes in 12 months can't buy off you.
I'm surprised you didn't block them after the first negative! I wouldn't have been able to add them to my list quick enough if they'd done that to me.
I have also learned on multiple occasions, people don't read the ad, they only look at the photos, so chances are your buyer didn't read in your ad where you had added the $2 handling fee.

Thanks. I do know about UID's. I prefer not to go down that track if it can be avoided. Only had to do it twice, with positive results. The buyer has actualy purchased other items from me in the past with no hassles - that one, buyer's idea of 'deep shrimp' colour and mine differered. Sorry the 'N' was meant to be neutral, not a neg (different reaction from me if it had been!!).
Totally agree about not reading the whole ad - but bottom line it was there, and so there is no buyer comeback on that one.
Funnily enough, the other day I sent an email to a seller asking if pick up was available - guess what, it was staring me in the face. I did a complete DOH!!
So, I'm not doing a crabby thing here, just agreeing with OP about lack of communication. Totally rude when buyers don't have the common courtesy to reply.

Cynical me. Just thought that if I did do a NPD and BBL, this particular buyer may understand that it he/she not in control. Which is what a lot of buyers seem to think they are.
Hate having to go down that track, but maybe some buyers DO need to be taught a lesson. They comit to buy, then they have to pay, or pay the consequences.
Unhappy day for me should I have to resort to this.
Some may say I'm an innocent, but in the years I have been dealing on eBay, I've only come across really honest people.
So if this .001% person makes me take a different course for him/her, it will still not be my attitude to the other 99.009% honest people that I deal with.

Deal with buyers on a case by case basis. Most buyers are honest, but there are plenty that aren't. If they don't pay, they wear the consequences. Some need to be taught a lesson and if that means getting a strike against their account, then so be it. They will soon learn there are plenty of sellers they can't buy from who have blocks in place. If they open a new account to circumvent the blocks, they are in violation of eBay policies.
