selling to US

Why can't ebay do a separate postage choice for just the US alone, where it gets the buyer to pay everything up front, after calculating postage costs with zonox & fees, so the seller can decide whether it is viable to send parcels, after considering all ebay fees as well. Why can't ebay with all it's IT technology sort this out??  Maybe ebay should ease up on charging fees on taxes as well as that is out of seller's control! Ha Ha. I'm also confused with the tariffs as US were already being charged high taxes (and sellers charged fees) before this new tariff. What were the old taxes for??? And again why are the sellers being charged ebay fees on these taxes (government)- nothing to do with promotion and actual item.  And again, why are there tariffs on used items which may be many years old??

I suggest you talk to the US Government.

And not expect eBay to run your business for you.

You could always try Amazon - sell at their prices, pay higher fess than eBay charge, but you get to store your items in their warehouse. So they run your business for you.

Not exactly a government you can reason with.

I'm not a business. Been with ebay since early days when it was to get rid of 2nd hand stuff and still doing the same. Unfortunately, now it is mainly geared for new stuff and businesses and the smaller players are squeezed in the middle.  We are not all shops. Ebay have been able to sort out how to run before and fees are charged accordingly. Why can't they do it now. Yes they have been running it.

eBay can’t even get our postage labels correct….their IT dept leaves a lot to be desired

I don't sell internationally as my items aren't conducive to it.

If I did, I wouldn't now.

I run my own business, as do you. Unless you're a hoarder - 1500+ active listings of second hand stuff?

eBay 'suggestions' designed to garner them more money are treated with the respect they deserve.
