sold my first Sunday Prmo item

Hello every one.  I sold my first "Sunday promo for FV $1"  item this week.  Went in to my eBay fees to find an amount of $1.10!!!

I  am a casual buyer and so have never paid GST - is this what the extra 10c is about?

Thanks in advance  🙂

Selling fees for casual sellers are usually 10.9% are gst inclusive but for some reason with this promo they've chosen to add the gst onto the $1 instead of including it as part of it.

Without seeing the breakdown of your invoice I would say yes.

The netflix tax was introduced last year and is 10% on fees only.

Yes, the Sunday Promo sales all come in at $1.10.

Thank you both for your answers.

My question now is _ what is netflix?  Is it claimable for "casual" buyers - where does the 10c go,  who gets the benefit of it?  This is completely new to me.  It happens on ALL fees?

It's a tax that eBay has to collect and then pass on to the Australian Govt for services provided by them to you.

Unless you have an ABN I don't believe you can claim it back.

The 10% only applies to listing fees not FVF.

Padi, the GST can only be claimed if you have a turnover of $75000 or more and are registered for GST.

Otherwise, it can only be claimed as an expense on your tax return.

Thank's Padi*0409 - I though the Sunday promo's only  had a FVF!!  and that is what I thought I was being charge with with the $1.10.  The page did not show any detail.  Just went in and checked it says "not yet invoiced".    Sorry - but again, for me, what does that mean?
