I have a question lets say majority of customers are still using paypal to pay for their items, there are around 200,0000 disputes a day on ebay not including returns. As per PayPals policy wouldn't that be a lot of money on hold while the transactions are in dispute for the eBay MP PayPal account?

This is silly. There is no way to predict when you will sell something or when funds from sales will become available, so there is therefore no way to control where they take your fees and expenses from - it could be either or.

I'm assuming this will include postage labels printed via eBay, which means that I will be moving 100% to AP's site for those to simplify matters, because having some of them come out of my available eBay funds and others out of my bank account will be a nightmare.

The subscription fee will still come out of available eBay funds but at least I know what that is every month, and approximately what day it comes out.

There are 2 options to receive your money either daily or weekly so the later would mean the funds from all of your sales are placed on hold for the week apart from (all the fees) Ebay would have already taken out.

No sales mean no fees even the daily release of funds wouldn't be available for 24hr segments?

I prefer the tried and true method of receiving payment via PayPal. At the moment I receive an email from PayPal notifying me that a payment has been made, which means that I can post the item. Does the new system mean that I will have to be checking my bank account several times a day or will eBay notify me when the payment goes into my bank account?  This information should be provided in eBay's information page on the new process.

You receive a notice from ebay "we've sent your payment".      The summary will be in your seller hub.   This is ebay initiating transfer of money to your account.   It could take up to 2 days to clear.

But now, your routine will be different.    You are expected to send the item  within your advertised handling time when you receive the email from ebay "great news - your item sold"   (not to be confused with the one that says "your item sold - your buyer hasn't paid yet".

The fact that you haven't actually received the money from ebay itself is irrelevant;   specially if you have chosen weekly payments.

For the smaller sellers that live kinda hand to mouth -  they will need to save up some money to have on hand to pay for postage, because they can't afford to wait until ebay actually pays them.

Hey, newbie to these forums.

Just got the notification that I'm being switched over next month. I'm in Vic, haven't got a driver's license or a passport, does anyone know if a Victorian Proof of Age card will work?

Yes, I believe so.....there have been several members on the boards stating they have used it, and definitely one in SA has been successful.

I hope so. Can anyone else confirm?

Wish ebay would make it a little bit more clear, the only options I get are "Driver's License" and "Passport" with the line to input a government ID number.
