eBay wasn't making enough money so they had to find another way of getting some more.
They had the FVF's on postage on other sites so they just brought it in here.
They don't care about sellers and it's possibly their way of getting rid of the small sellers so that they can bring in
the big stores.
There is no other competition against them at present so they can get away with it.

Because ebay want to charge us fees on the postage. Just catching up with other sites, it has been that way in the US for several years now.
The great thing about it is it stops sellers listing with cheap prices and hiking up the postage.
No great problem as far as I am concerned as I have always had free postage in my store and most of my auction items I only charge $7.99 delivery.
The thing I find downright offensive is the way tey charge the full amount on the actual cost of international delivery, there is no excuse for that and to make it fair and compatible with other sites they should just charge the same as the cost for domestic delivery.

Sorry Kopes but eBay spoils it for everyone.
Blaming other sellers practices for eBay taking a cut on Final Value Fees from all sellers is buying into the litany of carp that eBay spins.
Sellers charging excessive post should have got policy violations when reported, and booted off if they did it again.
