what is going on with aust post mail in nsw

i posted 1/2 dozen items

last tuesday morning 10th december

2 to victoria have been delivered

the other 4 to different places in nsw have not been delivered

i live in sydney nsw

what is aust post doing

i would of thought they would of got their by now

especially before the 2 to victoria

so weird anyone else having this issue

im tracking them all are satchels with tracking

We heard recently the NSW Aus Post distribution centre is relocating and delays expected.

Strange time of the year to relocate IMO.

just found what the issue is i emailed one of the buyers

they just got back to me they got their parcel last thursday

delivery drivers are not scanning some of the parcels once delivered

so its not coming up on the site as delivered

real annoying,i know i spoke to aust post about this before

and they said they should be scanned once delivered

hopefully the other ones are the same issue-just not being scanned

Tara Australia Post do not guarantee that a parcel will be scanned on delivery.

TBH i know youre keen to keep your customers happy but Sweating on delivery scans and sending messages to buyers who probably had their parcels delivered long ago is a tad over viligiant IMO

I never check thye tracking on parcels I have sent out unless the buyer contacts me asking where their parcel is, I just asssume that if I have not heard anything from the buyer they must have received their parcel.

We do exactly the same "phorum".

Don't sweat over it until a buyer contacts you about it.

There is a big problem in not checking on scanning.

When items are safe dropped they are  not scanned.

This then leaves it to chance and or the honesty of the customer to confirm delivery.

I never used to bother but now keep an eye on things as I can no longer afford to "lose" stock so all posters need to be vigilant and use DO NOT SAFE DROP stickers as too many items are being "lost in transit" for it to be honest mistakes anymore.

If you do not want to lose money you need to protect yourself.

Ive recieved 5 x 1 or 2 star ratings due to australia posts inability to deliver stuff on time in the last 2 weeks. Makes me cranky we are held responsible for that through abay.
