its the only formula that seems to get good results in motors but i get charged $14.95 for a reserve price. why so high? its costing me a fortune.

ebay encourage sellers to START the item at a price that is acceptable to the Seller..
sellers unwilling to quote their starting price at that level need to pay the extra fee.

but all that does is get buyers to procastinate. ive sold at a higher price on the auction format than the start price / buy it now format.

kops and I are not talking about Buy it Now, just start your auction at a price that would satisfy you if there's only 1 bidder.
with a reserve price auction it doesnt really matter how many bidders you get UNDER reserve, its it 1 or 2 OVER reserve that matter, so set your start price higher, and go for that 1 or 2 bidders forget the others.
