why can't sellers leave negative feedback for non payers???

I have just had a bad experience with a non payer who won several of my items and after 3 weeks of saying "I will pay next week" turned around to say they had changed their mind and no longer wanted the items.  After reading feedback for this member I found that there were more negative posts than positives about this buyer!!! My question is why can't sellers leave negative feedback? If we had been able to leave negatives, instead of negative comments as a positive wouldn't ebay be able to do something about pest time wasting buyers like this sooner???

Apart from increasing a non payers feedback score, all you've done by following the other sellers is to leave yourself open to 3 strikes by ebay for breaching policy.

Why didn't you simply have blocks in place to stop serial pests & why didn't you open disputes for the non payer ?

I have opened up disputes for the non payer, as a lot of others did as well. how many non paying disputes have to be opened before they can be banned??

I also have blocked this member now, but how do you know that they are a serial pest in the first place when their feedback score is 100% positve.  Surely you don't have to go into each members profile who bids on you items???

If all the other sellers had gone through the UPI dispute the buyer would have had several strikes by now.  This does not show on their ID.  We as sellers can use our blocks to stop serial buyers with several strikes from even bidding on our items.  This is what will stop them buying from you.  As long as you have the blocks and sellers complete the UPI disputes that is all that is needed.  I think it is a better process than leaving buyers neg feedback.

Michelle,do you have blocks in place to stop those with 1 or more unpaid item strikes in last 12 months from bidding on your items ?

If you had that in place & if any seller who had issues with your non payer had followed ebay policy by opening & closing disputes, you may NEVER have had to deal with them in the 1st place as they would have been blocked-simple.

ALL buyers have 100% as sellers are NOT able to leave negatives as you know-leaving a positive comment is a breach of ebay policy & does nothing for you or any other seller. So now that person will contnue on their merry way being a serial pest.:-(

With the amount of sellers that come here it is plain to see that NOT everyone is aware that the blocks can be put in place or how it is done or where to find where to put them in place.

And if the blocks are in place they will ONLY stop the buyers that have got the strikes.

To put these blocks in place hover your mouse over account in your my eBay page and from the drop down click on Site Preferences then go down the list till you see Buyer requirements and to the right of that click on show then click on edit. From there you can put in place the blocks you want, to stop those you want to block from purchasing from you.

open the "chatty' one's feedback up to 200 per page 😐

does anybody honestly believe that most of those sellers did not open a NPB dispute to get their final value fees back??????

ie does anybody honestly think that those sellers just mumbled quietly to themselves "Oh well done my dough que sera sera.... let's give them a bit of the ole larryo negative positive treatment though

and

does anybody honestly think that if a non paying bidder appealed a NPB strike proffering the "positive feedback" left by the seller as evidence with the "I paid by bank deposit" definitely positively) as the reason

that then

ebay would not want to nor chase the seller for the FVF back that ebay refunded when the seller won the NPB dispute????..

and that none of the affected sellers had the blocks set to refuse those with more than 1 NPB strike acces to their items???....

Honestly it musty be some kind of NPB 8 week record... if there are not at least 300 negatives positives... then... I am not playing, snatching my bat and ball back and going home.

The nonbuyer/ megabidders mouse must have near melted just from whacking in requests to ebay for strike removal let alone the bidding frenzy...I bet  ebay's auto reply strike removal bot would be a still be a bit glassy eyed

I wondered how many sellers do others think followed procedure, opened and closed NPB disputes, left no feedback and just moved on????

(remember they are invisible)

A a greater proportion than the neg/pos leavers

B a lesser proportion than the neg/pos leavers

C no sellers at all

and how many strikes do others think that  would add up too?

http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&ftab=AllFeedback&userid=chatalot3&iid=-1&de=off&interval=0&items=200

So if all these sellers have open and closed non payer disputes just how many strikes does it take to close a buyers account?
