I have just had a bad experience with a non payer who won several of my items and after 3 weeks of saying "I will pay next week" turned around to say they had changed their mind and no longer wanted the items. After reading feedback for this member I found that there were more negative posts than positives about this buyer!!! My question is why can't sellers leave negative feedback? If we had been able to leave negatives, instead of negative comments as a positive wouldn't ebay be able to do something about pest time wasting buyers like this sooner???

But then again, some posters just do not appear to have the ability to walk in anothers shoes, and will never have a true idea of the money or time involved as they sell lower price items at low volume.
I would have thought NPBs on low-volume, low-value items would impact more. Given the time involved in processing a NPB is value and volume neutral.

Not according to to a number of regular posters on the boards they don't.

That would reflect more on them than the facts.

Re: BUYERS WHO DON'T PAY
Seems my post has been removed already. For all of those "holyer than thou" who posted nasty comments, the item was sold for my 86 year old Mum who was soooooh excited to sell it, only to find that the bidder with EXCELLENT feedback was pipped at the post in the lasts 4 seconds by a NON PAYER. Try telling my Mum that she can't have the money, and don't even think about saying you can "relist in 4 days", or "it happens all the time". I hate to see her so disappointed, so I will give her the money. Perhaps if more sellers united it would not be such a common problem. Thanks to all of the people who sent support, to the others, don't be so quick to judge.

You could have messaged the $80 underbidder and told them that they may get a second-chance offer as the top bidder looked like not paying. Then, open the dispute after 4 days, close it 4 days later and get your final-value-fees back (and prevents them from leaving feedback as well) THEN send through the second chance offer. Your mum gets $80 instead of $81

petals its not that we don't understand we do its just more that there are some people out there that do crazy things and posting someones details could get them hurt.
I think that the other thing to remember there are bad sellers as well but Also good buyers and good sellers I think neg feedback should be available for both sellers and buyers.
I hope u offer your $80 bidder a second chance and u mum gets the money good luck

Yes neg feedback should be for buyers as well maybe next time open a non payment and I hate to say it don't be so kind. I think if u buy on ebay u should have the money for what u bidding so u can pay asap just the way we buyers like our items posted quickly sellers like quick payments

Doesn't make it right.
i had a buyer buy on Thursday - $10 plus postage. messaged me that he really wanted this book for his collection, would pay next Tuesday. My response was 'No worries'. If he doesn't pay on Tuesday he will get a polite query, then a NPB.
Simple, no emotion, no need to cry on the boards.
