why can't we leave feedback for buyer's who don't commit

i am tired being a good seller and getting rejected by buyers who commit to buy then don't pay don't message nothing. it is time for ebay to step up and give us the same privileges these buyers get. they can say **bleep** about us and our parts but we can't leave feedback for people who don't honour the ebay agreement? how is that fair they deserve to lose percentage points too!!!

Search the boards, over the years there have been thousands of posts about buyer negs.

The general consensus among experienced sellers who were around when sellers could give negs to buyers is that the system in place now works just as well if not better.

If you want a breakdown of all the reasons do that search as I am not spending the time repeating them again for the umpteenth timeSmiley LOL

All the bad feedback in the world won't prevent them from buying (or even not paying) again.  If you use the system as it was intended, go through the NPB process, get your fees back, and make sure you have your blocks in place, then they will get a strike against them and if they get two strikes, they will find themselves unable to purchase from many sellers.  This is more effective in curtailing bad buying habits than negative feedback.  Of course if you just want to leave negative feedback to punish them, well you just answered your own question.  This is precisely why eBay removed the ability for sellers to leave negs, too many sellers were using it to retaliate.

Cheers,

If they don't pay, don't agree to cancellations, carry through with a non payment dispute to issue them with a strike.

If they collect a couple, they will be unable to bid on a lot of seller items, make sure you're one of them-make sure to block bidders with strikes too.

If they do buy, pay then make unreasonable comments in feedback, you have the right of reply. Give a firm, factual reply that will show others what they did wrong.

Here are some examples of what I think are worthwhile replies by the seller.

Buyer said: 2 weeks & my Kettle has not arrived. VIC to SA..COME ON! Says lost in post,POOR!

It's ridiculous!  That and the morons that don't just click on one listing but 2!  Happened to me 3 times this year!   Even a brain dead monkey would know that clicking "Buy it Now"  means your commiting to a purchase.  One even left neg feedback after he sent an abusive email to me.  CS cancelled the neg.  I work on the assumption ebay will do what's best for ebay....not me!

If you've only had 3 this year you're doing well. Do you have blocks in place to stop the serial pests?
