why cant i leave negative feedback on nonpaying bidder

I have just tried to leave negative feedback on a non-paying bidder and find that I cant do it. How are sellers meant to protect themselves when there is no feedback system other than positive. I went through the eBay non-payer process, I thought they may have put a negative on the non-payer but no, he still shows nothing but positive

Is there a way to leave negative feedback

It has been many,many years since eBay allowed anything but positive feedback to be left for buyers

Negs can't be left for buyers anymore, besides it doesn't stop them from bidding in the last seconds or buying.

Open an unpaid item case and close it 4 days later. you get a fee credit, buyer gets a strike and with 2 or more they cannot bid or buy from sellers with blocks set up.

Then add them to your BBL and relist.
