why do buyers get all "im being overcharged" if i list a item at $5+$15 post=total $20 as apposed to $20 +free post =$20 cant they work out that it is the same cost to them ? and just a way for the seller to make it worth while to list ? i think it is pure greed on the buyers part they want the item but dont want the seller to get anything for it!!!

I take my time to pack well and it doesn't bother me because it's worthwhile. It's better to do that than to deal with a dispute and / or negative feedback. I am a low volume seller so there usually isn't a problem unless I sell more than usual and need to spend a while packing. I'm grateful for the extra sales anyway plus I now take up to 2 days to post so there's less stress involved with packing and posting the same day like before. If I don't want to rush around I can leave it to the next day. Buyers who complain or cause problems should try selling - they might not do it for long.

If you list for $5 with $15 postage

.

By listing as such, you are evading eBay fees, which in my opinion (and I am sure, eBay's) means you are being dishonest

.

Why would anyone want to buy off a dishonest seller

.

As you have outed yourself, I am sure that there will be a few ebayers who will now report you

@ OP

People have explained it to you.  If you refuse their advice, guess you'll continue to hear from outraged buyers who claim you've ripped them off.   And by attempting to overcharge buyers on postage, you will remaiin guilty of ripping people off

Why don't you put the price you want as the Start Price ?   Is it because you know people will scroll right past it ?  Is it because you want to evade Ebay's Listing Fees ?  Is it because you like the idea of ripping people off ?   Up to you to work out why you do it

I guess we will never know if the OP will take your advice . . . . . . as this thread is over 4 months old and they have not posted on the boards since 15th July.
