hi
just wondering why buyers are not paying in time frame
they seem to wait for npb to be started and then pay instantly
whats the go with this
if you were gonna pay anyway why not pay in the sellers time frame thats stated on the invoice
why wait till seller does npb then pay
its just weird and a bit annoying
had 4 in the last month and im not a big seller, only sell with free listings
tara

Maybe you've just been unlucky.
It doesn't make sense otherwise.
I usually pay as soon as I realise I have won. These days, with so many buy it now ads, that means pretty well on the spot.
The only reason I can think of for some buyers to be late might be if they forget they put in a bid or don't realise they have won.
Don't assume email mesages to them will necessarily reach them as I know in my case, my ebay email isn't my real, 'working' email, I don't check it.
It is possible for a bidder to win an auction even after they have been outbid. Happened to me once, with someone who withdrew a bid over a day later, so naturally I had thought I was out of the running and wasn't back on ebay till a couple of days after the auction ended. Got a shock, but paid straight away.
If i hadn't gone in though, I would not have realised in time and i could have ended up with a strike against my name, the ebay system is most unfair sometimes, the way it lets some buyers retract bids.
But I suspect the main reason you have had delayed payments is some buyers are a bit lazy or are quick to bid, more reluctant to pay.
As you say though, if you are going to pay, may as well pay within the time frame.

I'm not sure if any of you have had this experience like I have on many occasions but my items have sold at auction I then wait for payment and no payment has been received so I send an invoice at day 2 but still no reply so I send a message asking if there was a problem paying and could the buyer get back to me with an answer asap because a NPB will automatically be opened on day 4.Day 4 arrives and no reply from the buyer so a case is opened, still no payment with a few hours left before I can close the case and then all of a sudden the buyer requests that I close the NPB case and then can I cancel the transaction as they don't want to buy the item anymore! well shut the front gate what's going on? But because I am a professional seller I always bite my tongue and agree to the cancellations but I tell you it's becoming a big pain in the 'beep'
