since Ebay started promoting big business on Ebay sites like Target and Super cheap auto ect , they seem to have either neglected the Ebay shops that had been loyal to them for many years, or just ignored them .
a bit 2 faced for my liking , I pay enough fee’s over the year and I am sure many other Ebay shops do, we too should receive some promotions in return, like they get.
Target and other business they promote seem to hijack every page and links
Come on Ebay if you going to have a promotion, make it available to all shops on Ebay in Australia.

I know what you mean.
As a buyer I was a bit surprised to see an ad as I logged onto ebay. It was for a 'cheap deal' on dishwasher tablets.
Hang on, I thought, am I on Grocery Run by mistake? Nope, it was ebay alright.
I think they've missed the boat on that one. Most people I know who buy groceries and such online do it via somewehere like catch of the day, pay a yearly shipping fee & off they go.
That isn't how most people think of ebay. I suspect they are trying to change their image & attract more big business but you are right, they might do better to look after their regular sellers.

I expect the big guns pay plenty for the sort of promotion they get, and it's probably out of the reach of the rest of us. It's also in eBay's interests to keep them happy, their presence helps to bring in more traffic, whether we like it or not. If you subscribe to the popular theories, eBay don't care much for the loyalty of small to medium sellers, and judging by their behaviour and constant policy changes, they certainly don't show us any. It's all big names these days. I'm not saying it's right, but it is what it is.

The eBay executives said the company would be able to refocus on its core once separated from PayPal and eBay Enterprise, the core being small and medium sized businesses and consumer sellers; and value-seeking buyers - "and less on larger retail sellers looking to sell full-priced in-season products."
Yeah, right!

Wernt they doing it before and then when they had some BBQ discount for all sellers, they were listing like buy 1x Plastic Fork and get a PS4 FREE!! deals...
People really do abuse it so much that we somehow lose eBay's trust.

Re promoted listings:

"Promoted Listings is only available to a limited number of eBay Store subscribers. eBay beta tested the program from October through December, and it will become available by invitation only in June in the US, UK, Germany, and Australia."
Only allowing (selected) money to talk. >_> The promoted listings take up my entire screen in search results (on PC, full window browser), and I have to scroll down to even see a normal listing.
