Bombarded by multiple emails asking for payment

I placed an order for some motorcycle parts from the US and sent a request for combined shipping and within an hour or so I got hammered with more than 20 emails  from ebay stating I needed to make payments . Is this normal practice now ? I have never been pressured like that in over 10 years using eBay.

Did the items require immediate payment.

Were the items to be shipped via GSP, if so they can not be combined.
