how do i stop notifications for promotional and educational pages

When i first log into ebay i get advertisements instead of being taken to my ebay page,there is a message that say's "if you do not wish to see promotional and educational pages change your preferences,

i have gone to my preferences but cannot see anything that relates to this,when i log on i want ebay to take me straight to my ebay page,

please assist me with this issue,you should'nt have to go to your preferences to change or stop this,there should be an option under the advertisments to opt out,

Goto "Account" tab

Scroll down and click oto "Communication Preferences"

Scroll down to "Promotion and Surveys"

Then uncheck the box "Promotional and Educational Pages Display"

That should be it.
