Trying to chase up a refund from months ago.
Can I get good info? Thanks
Yea, you can receive “good info” if you mean “accurate information”.
No, if you mean “information that will result in my being refunded.”
The eBay Money Back Guarantee (MBG) has a timeframe: 30 days from the latest Estimated Delivery Date if an item hasn’t been received, or 30 days from the actual delivery date if the item has been delivered but is not as described (faulty, damaged, fake, wrong item, etc).
If you don’t act to open a dispute/case within that timeframe, you have no recourse through eBay.
PayPal Buyer Protection is for 180 days. Are you within that timeframe?
Chargeback through your card provider/bank has a timeframe specific to that provider and card. I don’t know of any that is longer than 6 months and it’s usually less - 2, 3 or 4 months perhaps. Check your card T&Cs.
Do not give out you email address on a public forum
The yellow warning banner that is there when people go to post is there for a reason
Expect to be inundated with emails from scammers, including ones pretending to be ebay
There is nothing you can do if it has been ‘months’ through ebay
How many months and how did you pay?
Did you open and follow through with a dispute?
Or did you only message they seller and they ‘told you’ they would refund you
Have you checked the funding source?
Where was the seller registered?
Next time, don’t wait months or it will be too late
