Can somebody advise me on the cheapest way to post a single, standard size paperback, weight 180gr.
My local AP Agency told me $6.60 which seems absurd for one little book. ๐ฎ
I asked if I could put it in their smallest Express Post envelope but was told that was only for documents.
I argued that a paperback book was a document but they said it wasn't.X-(

If the total thickness is 2cm or less it CAN be posted as a letter. I would argue that it is a document, but if the PO was being silly I would simply buy the envelope, pack it at home then go back to post it. That way nobody there knows what's in it.
I post thin books in prepaid envelopes, C5 probably in this case. They are $1.40 and can contain anything up to 500g total weight. No PP protection, but I've never had one go astray. Depends on value. I think you can buy a tracking sticker for $1.10 (somewhere around that) which would give you proof of postage.
Still a lot cheaper than a parcel.

Thanks Pete.
By this time next week I should have my self-published reprint of The Devil's Own in my hot little hands - all 500 copies - ready to start listing. I've never dipped a toe into the ebay selling ocean before, so I'm as nervous as all get out..
