Sellers tips for getting stock

Mine would be to start off the negotiation with "I don't need it"

Showing any sort of demand in something usually kerbs any future negotiations.

ie: I've been after one of these for years, doh! good way to blow the haggling that may have occured had you rather just asked hom much it was and then start back with, "I don't really need it" even start walking away from it so as to make the vendor know you can leave it so that they may reply with a "go on, you can have it for ..." :^O

not sure what happened Yarmak, out of all the items I posted, ebay worked the postage out for me from the isbn no's

$13.25 was the top postage, $6.60 the lowest postage so all within reason and with tracking no's

my 1st venture into online sales here for over a year and quite profitable at that.

I've been using fb to sell stuff in the shop, it works great as a marketing tool

I did try selling the muscle car mag, Kalinda, Ross Napier's and Idriess on the other auction place for over 2 months, not even a look over there.

With the op shops, I've found that the sorting area is more fruitful for good pickings than the shelves. The downside is that most places don't like non-staff members looking around there.

I'm negotiating with one nearby op shop to intercept the books being thrown out before they reach the bin. Given their generally Christian orientation, if you manage this arrangement you might find a disproportionate number of titles about sex, occultism, yoga, meditation and herbalism - if they're what you're looking for.
