Who is ebaying today?

I thought I'd get this thread up again.:-)

I've had enough excitement here for one day and am off to find my zzz's.

Good thing the weekend is coming up so we can play with all this new stuff.

RIP Bella

RIP Little Daisy

when I got home from work yesterday all my animals were hot

the dog who doesnt like water let us put the hose on him

the 3 cats let us put water on them

the youngest cat was panting worse than the dog and she was still doing it late last night, she is the fluffiest of the lot

if she suffers much more this summer I am going to consider getting her shaved for next summer

I once asked a vet about shaving a cat to make it cooler & he advised against it as their fur is insulation. Mind you that was about 15 years ago & thoughts do change. Sydney is sweltering again today - only left the house to do the posting. Dread to think what the electricity bill will be like with a/c on 24/7 at the moment.

But Tangles, your home is now your workplace, and you need a comfortable working environment otherwise you can't work efficiently.

I claim 30% of my electricity bill for home office expenses. I run 3, sometimes 4 computers, plus all my video equipment, etc.

Might pay to get some tax advice now you're working from home! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks guys for the info. I have an accountant and will just have to remind him about the home/office claim. Problem is, my OH also claims as home/office.

Carla - the more I read about the cyclone, the more I worry for you - I hope the cyclone gives you a wide berth and all is OK with you.

Thanks, we are doing ok. I've done everything I can to prepare the house. We are up the mountains over one hours drive from the coast, so am hoping we are going to be fine.

Went through Cyclone Larry at low Cat4 and that was with a dodgy roof! Hopefully with my new roof and improvements done to the house since, we will not suffer as much as I did with Larry when I almost lost my roof.

We have a plan with neighbours, so if problems arise we can go there or they can come here. What's most scary is it's coming over during the night, daylight is easier to deal with!

Fingers crossed and prayers for everyone in Yasi's path. I'll try to stay in contact as much as I can - hopefully will be able to update Facebook status via my phone.
