I have a few boxes of 1st edition books to sell and was wondering what is the best way to tackle postage. Any suggestions? Thanks!

If they go under 1kg and will fit, a B1 box posted through eBay is $7.15 plus the box. $1.75 from your local PO in singles.
I don't do 'free' post for parcels as it makes it hard to combine, and use flat rate products where possible.

is that only via ebay Peter of can you pay $7.15 at the PO?

Thanks Peter
Had to pay $17.10 for a 5kg satchell, useless Aust. Post, grrrrrrr

But a 5kg satchel will comfortably accommodate 5kg of books. Whereas you'd be lucky to get 2kg to physically fit in a 3kg satchel.

and the same 5kg costs $6 from the UK to Aus. grrrrrrrrr
Aust. Post are the biggest rip-off this side of Sydney.

Struggling with this myself. eBay postage isn't great, I suggest buying packages straight from your local PO.

For 500g and 3kg satchels and 1kg B1 boxes, eBay's prices are significantly less than the equivalent AP price.
500g - eBay $7.15 (+15-25c); AP $8.30
3kg - eBay $11.70 (+21-35c); AP $13.40
B1 - eBay $7.15 (+1.75); AP $11+ (+1.75)
You pay eBay FVF on postage, regardless, so you may as well avail yourself of the cheaper prices using the Bay postage system if possible.
