Hi have been a seller with eBay for number years. Last weekend got the message saying my account payments were on hold and I would need to update my account. Funny thing is day before I had a payment from eBay go into this account. I went through the first update option. When I did this got the confirm message that updated but then minutes later got an email saying the details could not be updated. I tried it several more times not working. Then I ended up doing the second option with the micro deposits. I actually talked with an online operator about the issue but they really weren’t helpful at all. Later that day I spoke to an operator on the phone that looked into my account and assured me that once the micro deposits were made and I confirmed them the issue would be resolved. He also told me because it is the beginning of the year everyone is having to go through the reconfirm your account details process. Today I have just spoke to another eBay rep who has told me that it is a technical problem and needs to be resolved by .I.T. department. He has sent an email off to I.T. Can anyone tell me if they have gone through similar experience? It’s extremely frustrating.

I have been on MP since Feb and May last year. If you haen't signed up for MP that could be the issue. There is a time-lag.
I have not been asked to reconfirm my details and my payments have come through on time.
Remember that eBay 'CS' reps will tell you what they think you want to hear, so they can get you off the line.

Just worked out is managed payments. Yes I have been on these since last year so is not the issue. I’m actually thinking of closing my account altogether I don’t need this stress.

CS reps talk rubbish. There's no such thing as reconfirming account just because it's the beginning of the year! Sheesh, those guys have quite the imagination.
I've been on the new system since July 2020 and everything has run like clockwork.
Sounds like a possible technical issue - there were quite a few of them last week related to funds and payments. I'm wondering if your account has been caught up in the glitches.
Hopefully it will be resolved quickly though!
