All I get when I attempt a purchase is,You don't have permission to access "http://pay.ebay.com.au/x

I'm attempting to make my first purchase in a couple of months. All I get when I attempt a purchase is the message, "You don't have permission to access "http://pay.ebay.com.au/x" Both ebay and PayPal accounts are current and active, so what might the trouble be? I've never had it happen before.

Have you tried the usual "fixes" of clearing cache and cookies the rebooting your computer ? Also if you happen to be using IE as a browser switch to Firefox or Chrome.

ebay has had this problum for over 12 months and it has not been fixed I get it all the time it has nothing to do with your machine it is a ebay program issue, and inspite all the complaints it does not seem to be fixed, well there you have it good luck.

And yet, the OP stated almost 6 months ago, that clearing the carp from their machine fixed the problem. Maybe you should try it.
